Glossop YET - Round up of activities by the Glossop Youth Engagement Team (20th July)
On Monday morning 20th July Glossop YET completed an input on 'Summer Safety' with students from We Believe You Achieve'. This school is an alternative provider of support for young people aged 11 to 16. not in mainstream education.
Just before lunch the team attended All Saints CVA School. Church St, Old Glossop to complete an input on Anti-Social Behaviour, (ASB) and Crime (making a Good Choice not a Bad Choice) with students from The Federation of All Saints and St Margaret's Catholic Voluntary Acadamies - a combined group of their Year 6 student classes (ages 10-11).
And again, later on that same afternoon the team attended Glossopdale School & Sixth Form Newshaw Lane, Hadfield Glossop, to complete our monthly Lunchtime Drop-In Session there for July (this is the last one for this academic year).
These were the last School Engagements of this academic year.
The team would like to thank all the headteachers and staff at each of the Secondary Schools we attended - Glossopdale,New Mills and Saint Philip Howard CVA - for their help, consideration, cooperation and assistance in allowing our visits.
The Team would also like to thank the headteachers and stall at all of the junior/primary schools in the Glossopdale and New Mills areas too - again or their help and consideration, including their cooperation and assistance in allowing our visits particularly the recent inputs on ASB and Crime (Good Choices/Bad Choices) with their Year 6 students.
Lastly - A massive well done and what amazing groups of young people I’ve had the privilege of meeting and engaging with this year.
See you again in September 👀
